Painting & Construction Trends in 2023: What to Keep an Eye Out For
Posted Apr 10, 2023 by Dave Scaturro

As an experienced team who has seen trends change for more than four decades, we’re excited about what’s to come (and to continue) this year. Here are three of the top trends we expect to see more of in 2023:
Sustainability
More than ever, we’re seeing businesses focused on incorporating green, environmentally-friendly practices into their day-to-day operations and the contracting business is no different. From the building materials being used, the process through which they are applied, and the emissions they create, we expect to see even more of a focus on sustainability in 2023.
Warm Color Tones
Every year brings new color trends to both the interior and exterior design worlds. This year, we’re seeing warm, earthy color tones that align closely with the focus on sustainability. These tones foster a greater sense of calm in workspaces and place a more heightened focus on mental health awareness and productivity in today’s world.
Education Facilities
Learning environments can be just as important as the learning taking place in them. In fact, a facility that is outdated, deteriorating or an eyesore is not only a distraction, but it can also be unsafe. From early childhood to college, ensuring students of all levels are educated in safe, up-to-date, and beautiful facilities not only helps them focus, but it also supports their long-term education.
We offer a variety of services for learning environments including interior and exterior painting, waterproofing, power washing, flooring, and more. And, we’re proud to participate in year-round programming with local community organizations, including the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s Child Care Facilities Improvement Program.
This program provides grants for local childcare providers to aid with interior and exterior improvements to enhance the facilities and create high-quality learning environments for our child and youth populations. Child care centers licensed by the NJ Department of Children and Families as of June 4, 2021, may apply for help with project costs between $50,000 and $200,000.
