However, MMA emits strong odors during application, necessitating adequate ventilation.

Thorough surface preparation is critical for ensuring strong adhesion. This process includes cleaning, grinding, shot blasting, and repairing any defects in the substrate. Checking moisture levels is essential to prevent issues like bubbling or poor adhesion.

Priming is another crucial step. A primer layer enhances the bond between the substrate and the topcoat, ensuring better adhesion and longevity of the flooring system. Different primers are used depending on the type of polymer and the condition of the substrate.

Proper mixing of the polymer components is essential for achieving the desired chemical resistance and durability. Application techniques such as rolling, troweling, or spraying are chosen based on the specific polymer and project requirements. Ensuring consistent thickness and coverage is crucial for optimal performance.

Following the recommended curing times and conditions is vital for the flooring system to reach its full potential. Some polymers, like MMA, cure quickly, while others may require more time. Environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity can affect the curing process.
