The Value of Safety in All of Alpine’s Work

The Value of Safety in All of Alpine’s Work

Here at Alpine, safety is a belief and a process that we evaluate every day, on every job, to prevent injuries and protect both our team members and customers. Whether the job is taking place at an industrial structure, within a commercial building, or in our own shop, safety and security is always our top priority.

Our Approach to Safety

We start internally, by continually training our employees in the latest safety and health techniques. Each of our field team members completes both classroom and hands-on training to receive OSHA’s 10-hour training certificate or the OSHA 30 for many of our foremen. These techniques inform our robust safety and training protocol and serve as the backbone to our safety procedures.

Through a systematic approach onsite, our team inspects all equipment, personal protective gear, cable harnesses and more to ensure necessary precautions are taken, hazards are eliminated and the chance for injury is reduced on each job. Additionally, our full-time environmental safety and quality manager visits our various sites to audit each job and identify and swiftly eliminate potential problems before or during a project. We believe this dual attention to safety keeps our valued team members and clients safe.

Supporting Our Team Members

Each team member at Alpine is supplied with the proper equipment ― safety boots, uniforms, hard hats, safety glasses, earplugs, and everything else ― required in order for them to work in the safest manner possible.

Additionally, on April 28 each year we observe Workers’ Memorial Day ― a day dedicated to honor families of victims who have suffered from a worksite tragedy. We know there are many risks present when our field workers are performing their jobs and by honoring this day, our goal is to make it clear that our employee’s health and safety are our priority.

Safety Recognition

Our team has consistently received awards for excellence in safety, including NJSA’s Safety Award, the NJ Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health Award, UTCA’s Construction Safety Award and PDCA’s National Safety award, among many others. We are also proud to receive bi-annual employee reviews that consistently thank Alpine for our care of employee wellbeing on the job.
