Do you feel as though it would be impossible to paint your manufacturing facility? Too much machinery? Too much lost production time? Maybe you just aren’t hiring the right contractor to accommodate your needs. When it comes to manufacturing plants, Alpine has the right skills, patience and safety guidelines to contain your machinery and maneuver around it quickly and proficiently to satisfy your painting needs.
When painting a manufacturing facility, Alpine, first, has the facility manager remove all portable materials, supplies and equipment from the work area before the job is performed. Then our crews use plastic and tarps to drape and cover the existing equipment, interior lighting, HVAC equipment, contuit and floor surfaces assuring that everything is protected. We cover all sprinkler heads with tin foil to protect from paint, still giving them the ability to work in case of an emergency. Then we bring in two to three scissor and/or articulating boom lifts to safely and efficiently access all painting areas.
Painting and specialty coating applications in manufacturing and processing plants goes way beyond walls and ceilings. Most manufacturing plants consist of structural steel, corrugated decking, open web joists, sprinkler piping and conduit throughout the building. There is much more to consider than the aesthetics of your coatings. Proper surface preparation is essential to ensure your new coating adheres properly to the surface. Our crews utilize compressed air to clean all dust and/or debris from the surfaces before painting. We then prepare the metal surfaces by hand and power tool cleaning using disk grinders, scrapers and wire brushes to remove existing rust or peeling paint. Finally, after all surface preparation is completed, we begin priming and painting with high performance, rust inhibitive coatings.
Epoxy floor painting and dryfall paint for ceilings are very useful applications that provide more than a welcoming atmosphere for your manufacturing facility. Durable epoxy floor coatings provide protection against the continuous movement of people and resists harmful chemicals which would normally crack or change the color of your floor. When using dryfall paint on your ceiling you can be ensured that no paint will drip down and hit the equipment or product stored in the warehouse. Dryfall paint will actually dry to a dust before it hits the ground, allowing it to be cleaned up easily by sweeping, rather than having to meticulously wipe it off items.
Do you think painting your manufacturing facility isn’t worth the hassle? A bright and well-painted interior does indeed make a difference in productivity of your plant. The right color and lighting can liven up the warehouse as well as boost the mood and activity of your workers. A specialized contractor will know how to utilize paint colors, finishes, products to their full potential, and know tricks like how to get better light reflectance in a dark warehouse. Give Alpine a call and we will show you what an experienced contractor can do to make your manufacturing facility look and feel better for your employees and customers.
