On Friday, August 22nd, Alpine Painting hosted a Florida Avenue Block Party where local businesses gathered for delicious food and drinks. Feldman Brothers, Bergen Sign Company, DeLoach Paving Contractor, Levine Industries, Dingman’s Dairy, Studio J Architectural Glass, Fox Fence, and Airgas of Paterson were all in attendance. Alpine was also privileged to have Katie’s House and Community Outreach Services, two non-profit organizations Alpine partners with, to join the festivities as well.
Here at Alpine, we don’t take the term “block party” lightly. Anytime we get to take a break from business and be in the presence of great company, we make sure we do it right. Alpine blocked off the north sidewalk of Florida Ave where we grilled, played games, got to share laughs and get to know our neighbors. The event began at noon, when most local businesses take their lunch, and carried on until 3 PM. The event truly was a success. Alpine had grateful neighbors with full bellies who could not stop talking about next year’s event.
“Alpine Painting felt the need to build a sense of community. So often we get caught up in our day-to-day business operations, that we don’t take the time to get to know the people we work side-by-side with,” says Alpine’s Shop Manager, Andrew Scaturro. “Alpine took the lead for the first annual block party and we hope that it is something to look forward to in years to come.”
