Whether we are in the field or in our state-of the-art, fully contained shop facility, all of our sandblasting technicians will follow state-mandated safety precautions, including the EPA and OSHA safety standards.
We use a wide array of procedures to make sandblasting as efficient and safe as possible to satisfy our New York and New York City clients. For example, when we remove rust from steel we would use a coarse abrasive, such as black beauty, with maximum air pressure to ensure faster production. The end result would be a rust-free surface ready to be repainted. If a project called for removing paint from a more delicate surface we would use a fine abrasive, such as DuPont’s Starblast and blast it at a lower speed so that the surface is not damaged and a finer profile is achieved.
Our shop facility is outfitted with several spray booths, a large blast barn, and dust collection equipment. Our shop teams focus on sandblasting and painting our customers portable equipment such as trucks, trailers, structural steel, plows, salt spreaders and heavy construction equipment. Our field crews specialize in abrasive blasting water tanks, steel structures, bridges, trucks and trailers parking garages, wastewater facilities, stand pipes, oil tanks, and ground storage tanks. Furthermore, Alpine is licensed to perform lead abatement on industrial superstructures, schools, and historic landmarks.
We have completed media blasting work all over New York and New York City including projects in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Long Island, Lower East Side, Lower West Side, Manhattan, Midtown, Staten Island, Upper East Side, Upper West Side, and Queens. We have also served Dutchess County, Kings County, Nassau County, Orange County, Putnam County, Queens County, Richmond County, Rockland County, Suffolk County, Sullivan County, Ulster County, and Westchester County over the last three decades.
