Alpine Painting is proud to announce that after Wednesday night’s Associated Builders & Contractor (ABC) of New Jersey’s Awards Dinner, Alpine took home the Step Diamond Safety Award and the Eagle Award in Specialty Painting. As the only recipient of the Step Diamond Award, Alpine was required to fit the following criteria: have a total recordable incident rate at least 50% below their NAICS code industry average in each of the past three years, maintain an Experience Modification Rate (EMR, or "Mod Factor") of 0.800, have their official OSHA Form 300 and OSHA Form 300A for the previous three years submitted and reviewed, have not suffered a fatality that resulted in an OSHA citation in any of the previous three years, and meet the minimum 20 Key Components score. Because we pride ourselves on safety, this is a huge honor and privilege to be recognized for such a highly respected award among our peers.
Alpine received the Eagle Award in Specialty Painting for our work with the Morris County MUA. Their water tank needed major restoration that required Alpine to abrasively blast the interior to be a white metal blast and for the exterior to be commercial-blast clean. The job entailed concrete repairs, installation of a mixing system, the use of a catholic protection system, and the application of a 3-coat protective coating system. A unique feature of this job is that Alpine utilized a self-contained unit so there was no need for containment while blasting the exterior of the tank.
We are so grateful to be a part of ABC and even more grateful to be recognized by their committee for our hard work. It is times like these where going the extra mile every time, pays off in the end.
