Alpine Painting Is Awarded the “Good Graces Certificate” for Volunteer Work at Hinchcliffe Stadium

Posted Oct 17, 2014 by Andrew Scaturro

The City of Paterson’s Historic Preservation Commission awarded Alpine Painting with the Good Graces Certificate for our volunteer work at Hinchcliffe Stadium in April of this year. Each year the Commission looks for organizations and individuals who have contributed in memorable and significant ways to local historic preservations. Alpine Painting, along with 800 volunteers, repainted the stadium, covering up over 15 years of graffiti. The significance of the stadium is that it was built in the 1930s and was the host of the first Negro Baseball League. We are looking forward to accepting this award on October 29th at the Hamilton & Ward Steakhouse in Paterson, NJ. Alpine is truly honored and humbled to be recognized by such an astounding Commission.
