In 2005 Alpine Painting & Sandblasting Contractors teamed up with DRYCO when the Long Island American Water Corporation targeted its 2.5-million-gallon water tank for maintenance. Knowing the importance of climate in surface preparation and coating application Alpine and DRYCO worked hard to keep relative humidity and steel temperatures in the acceptable range during the cold, and wet Long Island winter months. After completion the owner provided inspection through its personnel and consultant. Many factors including the overall quality were taken into account. Charles Clyne, the consultant, later stated “The job was magnificent from start to finish”.
