Thursday, September 22, 2011
Sept. 20th and 21st Members of the North Jersey PDCA assisted with Painting the Rescue Mission of Trenton to kick off the start of the Color Care Across America Program.
The PDCA (Painting & Decorating Contractors of America), Benjamin Moore Paint Company and the U.S. Conference of Mayors have taken on an exciting new initative to paint 51 shelters in 50 days! Color Care Across America, will transform shelters and touch lives with color.
The program will provide an in-kind contribution of paint from Benjamin Moore through its network of retailers and pro bono labor by volunteer professional painting contractors of the PDCA who will paint the interior of the winning shelters in 50 states and our nation’s capital.
Painter Dave Scaturro of Paterson based Alpine Painting helps paint the dining hall at the Rescue Mission of Trenton as part of the Color Care Across America project. The project is bringing makeovers to 51 homeless shelters in 50 days with the hopes that new bright colors will bring an emotional uplift to the homeless hurt by the economy. Trenton, NJ 9/21/11
